EURAXESS - Researchers in Motion is an initiative of the European Commission to promote the mobility of researchers in Europe. The mission of EURAXESS Services is to provide comprehensive and up-to-date information and personalised assistance to all researchers and their families seeking advice in issues relating to their relocation across borders.

EURAXESS - Researchers in Motion hosts the following initiatives:

  • EURAXESS Jobs is a free of charge job database for researchers and research organisations throughout Europe
  • EURAXESS Services is a network of about 260 service centres for incoming scientists and their families in 40 European countries
  • EURAXESS Rights provides information on the European Charter for Researchers & The Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers
  • EURAXESS Links is a network tool for European researchers working outside Europe (US, Japan)

EURAXESS Service Centre Austria

As part of the EU-initiative EURAXESS - Researchers in Motion, Austria has established the national network of EURAXESS Service Centres Austria to improve the overall conditions for mobile researchers in Austria and thus in Europe.

EURAXESS Austria provides access to current and comprehensive information on all questions essential to the mobility of researchers and their families.

The Service Centres of the Austrian EURAXESS network for researchers and their families with questions concerning their professional and daily lives, especially information on legal and administrative questions (e.g. visa regulations, residence permits, taxation, social security issues) are:
