Sport Activities
Located in the middle of the Austrian- & Swiss Alps, sport enthusiasts enjoy the numerous sport activities available.
Hardly any other European city provides such excellent conditions for a variety of different Outdooractivities such as skiing, snowboarding, swimming, hiking, tennis, golf, climbing, moutainbiking and canyoning.
Alpintouren and Tourenspouren are free online portals where you can find detailed maps and tour descriptions to download.
Moreover, Dornbirn counts with numerous of excellent INDOOR sport facilities like a giant climbing hall, icerinks, modern swimming hall next to FH and the high quality fitness-& wellness center: Panoramahaus.
In addition, international and local students are very welcome to join Local Sport Clubs.
Local and international FHV students can use HTL sport halls for free on certain days and hours. See below the timetable, locations and sport activities.

Ski- and hiking areas
Skiers and snowboarders have access to over 30 ski resorts connected by public ski buses and train. The ski buses are free for those who have the three-valley ski pass, others pay a ski-& busticket, where they get refunded ~80% when buying a day ski pass. This ticket is available in all public buses. The areas are also wonderful for hiking.
