The Department is organised in fields of competence for teaching in the area of general scientific and management methods. In these fields of competence the integration of the latest knowledge takes place into teaching with up-to-date relevance with the latest developments.

Teaching 

The Department for management and social sciences has three focal points of competence "Organizational Behaviour, University didactics and market and social research" and teaches in all University courses at the FH Vorarlberg.

 e.g.: communication, team development, solving conflicts, intercultural competence

Methodological competence
 e.g.: empirical research, creative techniques, applied system theory, project management, management, didactics

Specialist competence
 e.g.: personnel, organisation, psychology, sociology, economics, ethics, social work
