Mission

We create and impart knowledge and competences: the staff at the FHV create and impart knowledge and competences at university level in degree courses, research and further education. Therefore we provide sustainability, in the long term, for the regional area and make an important contribution to the economic and social development of Vorarlberg.

We enthuse our students: motivated, competent lecturers, a variety of learning and teaching methods, personal individual support, imparting relevant up-to-date content and the outstanding infrastructure motivate our students. We demand and promote their development at all stages of lifelong learning.

We work in networks: we connect local strengths with international perspectives by networking teaching and research with regional and also international partners from society, business and science.

We focus on quality in all areas: quality characterises our daily work. The FHV stands out for its qualitatively high-value range of courses, the recognised competence in relevant specialist areas and the interdisciplinary, application oriented teaching and research.

Attractive: The FHV is the most attractive University in the area of Lake Constance for academic, part-time education.

Successful: FHV graduates are successful professionally. They remain connected to the FHV as lifelong knowledge partners. Our scientific range of services contributes to the success of our cooperation partners in society and business.

Comprehensive: we offer Bachelor, Master’s, Doctorate and further education programs in business, technology, design and social work.
