Innovation for a strong region. Just a buzzword?
No, much more a motto which our University has integrated into its mission statement. In this context we have to succeed in two things.
Firstly: to connect your questions with our ideas:
Secondly: to answer these questions at a level to make funding and international recognition possible.
Based on the principle 'local focus - international outlook' our University has set up research centres in which we strategically focus our skills on three focal points:
Microtechnology, User-Centred Technologies, Product and Process Engineering. That's to say centres in which high value research activity can be delivered revolving around innovation.
At our University for individual business people questions are dealt with in the same way that companies with international reputations deal with them. We're interested in the challenge of the question and not the size of an organisation. Bring your ideas and questions to us! There are different levels of difficulty to handle your interests, ranging from a dissertation (young people's creative potential to find solutions is not underestimated) through projects with lecturers up to funded projects in one of the research centres.

Research has to be lived. We live research - along with our partners. Solutions worked out already by over 100 companies and organisations but also extensive third-party and public funding show this clearly. This interaction benefits both sides: new untested methods are normally associated with risks. Let us accompany you down these paths. You will gain benefits from our up-to-date knowledge, the most modern laboratories and from access to funding and international University networks.
As the University of Applied Science we don't always want to go down new, unknown paths alone. We want to share our ideas and bring them back down to reality with your help to create usable solutions. We want to remain on the cutting edge and learn more about reality and about your needs.
