The research centre for user centred technologies deals with the design of technology and media for people. We support the development of new products and systems to meet the needs and limitations of users better. The research centre supports its clients and partners throughout the whole product cycle with the help of methods and instruments of a user centred development approach.
In order to achieve this goal the following research and development functions are pursued:

• User research (e.g. to establish the psychological requirements of the product interfaces),

• Development of methods to evaluate user-friendliness of products (e.g. VR-technology, psycho physiological measurement, usability testing),

• Instructive product visualisation (e.g. 3-D graphics and computer animation to assess product properties),

• Development of user interfaces for the future (to investigate new product handling directions).
