How much time will I need?

Time for my degree - a worthwhile investment.

The Master’s degree course in Business Process Engineering takes four semesters (including thesis and examination) and starts in the Winter semester. The registration deadline ends on 15 May every year.

Double burden of work and study?

The master's degree programme is possible as a full-time or a part-time programme. Fundamentally, a part-time degree programme subjects students to very high demands - particularly since attendance is required for all courses. Our experience has showed that this can be done. A prerequisite for its success is, above all, support from your family, the encouragement and a certain flexibility from your employer as well as the willingness to subordinate your leisure time to the degree programme.

The courses in the fields of your specialisation take place on Friday from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm and on Saturday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The compulsory electives from the master's library are also offered to employed students on Friday from 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm and also in a block week per semester. For the compulsory electives in the module library, there is an individual schedule for all students.

During the entire four semesters, you should plan approx. 15 to 20 free days that you will need for the degree programme.

Please calculate both the actual course time and time for studying on your own and doing group work! This involves individual preparation and follow-up work for courses as well as the handling of study tasks that you are to solve in a group over a certain period of time.

The courses take place during the usual lecture times (winter semester from the middle of September to the middle of February; summer semester from the beginning of March to the middle of July) at the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences in Dornbirn.
