Semester abroad and internship

Part of the degree programme also includes giving students the opportunity to spend a semester studying at one of the more than 100 partner universities of the FH Vorarlberg.

The fifth semester is planned for the optional semester abroad. The students can set their own individual focus as part of the selected specialisations in two areas of the core curriculum of the internationally oriented business administration. The core curriculum includes: Finance for Global Businesses, International Marketing, Global Supply Chain Management und International Human Resource Management.

The bachelor's degree in International Business has partner universities in Belgium, China, Finland, Great Britain, India, Ireland, Korea, Mexico, Namibia, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovakia, Spain, Turkey, the US and Cyprus.

For those students that complete the fifth semester at the FH Vorarlberg, all the courses are held in English. Students from our partner universities come to the FH Vorarlberg to study International Business. As a result, the students that do not go abroad also experience "internationalisation at home" at the FH Vorarlberg.

You will receive more detailed information on the subject of the semester abroad and internships abroad from the International Office.

Internship

In the 6th semester, a 12-week internship is required for full-time students in order to open the door to their future professional challenges and employers.

The second bachelor's thesis is written as part of the internship. You will work and document a practical task and its solution according to academic criteria.
