Key learning outcomes
Graduates of the bachelor's degree programme in International Business will possess three distinct core competencies:
The first is that you will possess a solid, theoretical-conceptual understanding of all the core disciplines in business administration. We call this the "management toolkit," which our students take in their hands from the first day of the programme and successively fill up in the following six semesters.
But what is a toolkit without the ability to apply it?
Our graduates’ second core competency consists of using the toolkit in business practice to resolve complex challenges. Furthermore, our courses involve not only lectures, but also a number of components in which the students can practically apply their newly acqired knowledge - case studies, projects, business simulation, problem-based learning. Let us surprise you!
Being able to use a toolkit is very helpful - but the international perspective has been missing hitherto. This is the third core competency - finally it is even part of the name of our degree programme. In it, graduates encounter a myriad of intercultural challenges and international relations that make them able to apply what they have learned not only at their own doorstep, but also to the entire world. Precisely where today's economic life is unfolding! Students work on international and intercultural subjects, study together with guest students from more than 100 of the FHV's international partner universities and discuss with lecturers from around the world.
Then we have come full circle: The degree programme lets students develop the ability to apply the acquired tools practically in an international context!
