Profile of the programme
InterMedia is distinguished by its diversity and interdisciplinary approach. Here, generalists for the media branch are trained to think and act creatively, not to lose sight of economic and technical requirements and to develop creative solutions in a goal-oriented way.
Semester 1: Gaining a sense of the design tasks and criteria, fundamentals in the areas of print, drawing, colour, image, space; application of fundamentals
Semester 2: Means of communication in text, image and recordings, drafts, recording, classifying
Semester 3: Means of communication in video, animation, interactive media; conceiving; communicating, coordinating
Semester 4: Design in the international context, interdisciplinary media projects, specialisation workshops
Semester 5: Internship; interdisciplinary media projects with academic documentation, media impact
Semester 6: Intermedia media projects, law and finance; bachelor's thesis
Bachelor's thesis
Students in the bachelor's degree programme InterMedia complete a bachelor's thesis in both the 5th and 6th semester.
In the 5th semester, they document the interdisciplinary media project, justify and reflect the design decisions on an academic basis.
In the 6th semester, they write their own
creative or academic thesis and document and defend it.
