Key learning outcomes
InterMedia is a diverse degree programme that in particular works on strengthening the individual design competencies of the students.
The following
competencies are typical for graduates of the InterMedia master's degree
programme:
- creative
competency: e.g. developing
creative strategies, resolving design tasks of great complexity independently,
directing.
media
competency: e.g.
implementing media use planning and intermedia concepts, developing products
and concepts for the use of media-based learning, developing approval
mechanisms, quality control.
- social
competency: leading teams,
managing groups, directing personnel, giving advice in the media context.
- project
management competency:
Designing, planning, implementing and evaluating projects, planning and
monitoring resources.
- scientific
competency: preparing
scientific work on your own, drafting and coordinating scientific work,
conducting scientific examinations, being able to design and execute research
projects in the design context.
- psychological
competency: Being able to
know and apply patterns of reception, controlling learning behaviour,
understanding communication behaviour and considering it in concepts,
developing didactic concepts.
- economic
competency: e.g. drafting
marketing concepts, sharpening and anchoring your own professional profile,
founding and directing companies.
- technical
competency: e.g. drafting
and monitoring specific developments (e.g. synthetics, programming, usability,
calculating costs/expenses/quality, providing technical solution competency as
innovative media design competency and implementing it on a scientific basis;
handling problems of medium complexity (synthetics, programming/authoring,
usability) on your own.
