How to Apply

Please read the following information carefully before starting with the online registration.

Application Deadlines

The application deadline for studying during the whole academic year or during the winter (=autumn) semester is May 31.

The application deadline for studying during the summer (=spring) semester is November 15.

Application process 

Please check with your home university if an exchange semester at Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences will be accepted before you apply and consider that after the online application all original documents need to be sent by mail.

We are only able to proceed the application when we have received all original documents.

General Remarks 

Please do not use any special symbols or characters in the online registration form.

Application for studying as a guest student at Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences

When filling in the electronic application, please make sure that you choose the right exchange programme.

The following options are available:

Required steps in the application process

Step 1

Enter all required data. You will receive a confirmation email with a link to proceed with the online registration.

Step 2

Create your own Login for the online registration in Mobility Online.

Step 3

Complete the personal data and press "Submit". After submitting the data, a formal check by Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences is necessary. After approval you will receive an email which you can use as a checklist.

Step 3 for International Business students only

After you have completed and submitted your personal data you will receive an email concerning the course selection in regards to available courses as well as recommendations for combining courses. In an additional email you will receive a  link, a password, a user name and further instructions to a separate course registration tool.

Please use this additional email as a checklist and fill in all required data carefully. After your course selection in the separate course registration tool you can continue the online application process in Mobility Online with Step 4.

Step 4 - Learning Agreement

Please select the topic "Complete Learning-Agreement" in order to register for the courses you would like to attend during your exchange semester.

Step 5

After you have completed the Learning-Agreement please print out the

• Application Form
• Learning-Agreement
• Application for Accommodation

Sign the Learning-Agreement and the Application Form yourself and take care that the Learning-Agreement gets signed and stamped by the persons in charge at your home institution (Departmental and Institutional Coordinator).

• Transcript of Records in English Language (all courses you have studied so far need to be mentioned)
• 2 passport pictures
• Copy of your passport

Step 6

Only when we have received all required documents, the head of the study programme will be able to take the decision whether you can be accepted as an exchange student or not. Together with the acceptance letter more detailed information about your exchange semester will be provided.
