Citizens of Non-EU Member States who stay less than six months in Austria

Students from Non-EU countries should contact their nearest Austrian Embassy or Consulate in order to clarify any questions pertaining to Visa regulations.

This must be done well before the planned departure date.

All students from Non-EU countries wanting to study in Austria need to apply for a D-Visa valid for the entire duration of their stay. The D-Visa allows students to travel through the Schengen-countries during the whole duration of the stay in Austria.

The visa must be in the passport prior to entering the host country.
