What is Social Work at the FH Vorarlberg?
- You will develop decision competency with us
During the degree programme, you will learn instruments that let you assume leadership responsibilities later.
- Personal support through highly qualified lecturers
We have intensive connections to social institutions thanks to our international team of lecturers. This ensures that the training and exciting content is highly relevant and reflects the latest state of knowledge.
- A master's degree opens up all academic paths
Graduates are awarded the academic degree of Master of Arts in Social Sciences (MA). The master's degree entitles you to enter a PhD programme at a university. A career in research is also open to you.
- Research projects: Connection between science and practice
In the second, third and fourth semester, students will undertake research projects. The research projects can be recommended either by the students, employers or lecturers.
- Diversity of the participants
In the master's degree programme, different target groups meet: Graduates of relevant bachelor's and diploma programmes, social academies and related psychosocial educational centres.
Discussions about differences in terminology, definitions and various approaches to the issues in theory and practice are to be expected. The master's degree programme is naturally focused on the theories and models of social work.
