Specific admission requirements

You must meet the following formal requirements for admission to the master's degree programme in Computer Science at the FH Vorarlberg:

  • a completed, subject-specific bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in Computer Science or a comparable field (at least 180 ECT)

 

  • proof of German and English at the B2 level of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference).

 

Possible degree programmes that meet these criteria include e.g.:

  • a completed bachelor's degree programme in Computer Science, or

 

  • an equivalent completed degree in Computer Science at a recognised Austrian or foreign university (e.g. diploma), or

 

  • an equivalent, completed degree in a comparable field (e.g. Information Systems, Media Design, Mechatronics, etc.).

 

The subject-specific degree in Computer Science or a comparable degree programme should include at least the following areas: algorithms and data structures, knowledge of a high level programming language, operating systems and networks, databases.


The decision about the specific nature of the subject or its comparability and therefore permission for acceptance is determined by the Head of the Degree Programme.
