Specific arrangements for recognition of prior learning
Course-related recognition
The general recognition of entire semesters on the basis of a school/university degree at certain types of schools or universities is not possible; fundamentally, there is course-related recognition.
Students can apply for recognition of courses and in this case have to prove the equivalence of the knowledge in relation to the requirement profile of the corresponding course.
The objectives of each course serve as the basis for the evaluation. The respective lecturer and the Head of the Degree Programme are responsible for the decision with regard to the type and scope of recognition and the type of proof.
The details are regulated in the guidelines for the degree programme.
