Qualification of engineers with business administration

In accordance with the qualification profile for Engineering with Business Administration in the Germany speaking zone, the following qualifications and competencies are the learning outcomes of the degree programme:

 

  • understanding and evaluating the economic, political, social and legal conditions of the economy (understanding the economic environment),
  • making rational and ethically based decisions, thinking critically to find innovative and effective solutions for interdisciplinary, qualitative and quantitative problems (critical thinking),
  • articulating oneself logically and convincingly in oral and written form, as well as communicating the content and problems of the respective discipline to colleagues in the field, and doing this both in foreign languages and across cultures (communication),
  • working effectively and constructively with other people in various situations and across disciplines, and in an international environment (cooperation and teamwork),
  • identifying complex subjects in the technical and economic context as well as solving them methodically, holistically and across disciplines (interdisciplinary problem solving and handling competency),
  • applying specific research methods and new findings in the field of engineering and business to subjects in real life, under consideration of the economic, ecological, technical and social requirements (transfer expertise),
  • integrating yourself in your professional environment thanks to the high practical relevance of the degree programme and working together with partners on different levels (social competency),
  • effectively using modern information technology (IT competency)
  • "learning" independently on the basis of the bachelor's degree programme and continuing to learn on your own (life-long learning).
