Profile of the programme
For them, it is self-evident that you analyse, implement, automate and optimise the processes behind the creation of products.
The goal of combining the technical disciplines of
- engineering / production
- electronics
- computer science
is to train students to find suitable solutions and new ways to develop products and production processes and implement them efficiently.
Content of the degree programme
The six-semester degree programme consists of 30 ECTS credits per semester and an average of approx. 23 semester hours per week. The bachelor's degree programme in Mechatronics includes multiple fields and the following courses.
Two bachelor's theses are written
The first as part of the specialisation either in engineering or electronics.
The second and actual bachelor's thesis is composed in the 4-month internship. There, a problem is addressed and documented in accordance with scientific criteria.
Typical fields for using mechatronics
Practically all products today are mechatronic systems - even everyday products contain both mechanical parts and electronic parts and are controlled by software. DVD players, digital cameras, ABS systems in cars, but also coffee machines, washing machines and dishwashers.
- Automation technology
- Vehicle technology
- Microtechnology
- Medical technology
