Profile of the programme

The curriculum of the master's degree programme in Mechatronics includes a concentrated specialisation in higher-level mathematics, electronics, numeric simulation, robotics and production technology. In all the technical courses, we attach particular importance to the application and the understanding of the occurrences and connections.

A personal profile enhances your market value

An important characteristic of the master's degree programme in Mechatronics is the possibility of selecting from five fields of focus

  • Sensor Systems and Actuators,
  • Embedded Systems,
  • Robotics,
  • Computer Aided Engineering - FEM, CFD
  • Production Technology.

You select three fields that are studied in the second and third semester. The focal points in electronics are power electronics, selected chapters of sensors and actuators and modern control technology. The field of production covers applied production technology with a focus on CAD/CAM coupling, CNC 5 axial processing, reverse engineering and product lifecycle management (PLM). The field of construction concentrates on the methods of computer-based engineering in development and construction in the form of numeric calculation methods. In IT training, the arc stretches from object-oriented programming through networks and data transfer up to real time.

Another element is the cross-course module library from which you select your individual key qualifications. This way you develop your personal profile.

In the 4th semester, you focus on the master's thesis. Together with the oral master's examination, it forms the basis of the diploma for a master's degree in Mechatronics.
