Personal requirements

No special previous knowledge in computer science is required from applicants for the degree programme in Computer Science at the FHV; good knowledge of EDP applications is completely sufficient for admission; differences in previous knowledge are compensated through the division of groups in the first semesters.

What you should have however is both the ability to think logically as well as analytically and in particular communication talent. Otherwise, it is also very important that you have the curiosity to want to understand how complex systems and processes operate.

The FH Vorarlberg's expectations of its students

Entry into the degree programme in computer science requires that students be able to think abstractly. For this reason, complete dedication and concentration is required in particular. The use of modern forms of teaching and learning also requires the independent processing of subjects in many cases.
