Our innovation research focuses on (service) systems and ecosystems. It is driven by Schumpeter’s concept of the dynamic entrepreneur and creative deconstruction.

System Collaboration

Since the economy is shifting to a service-dominant industry, increased thinking in systems, ecosystems and services is crucial for organizational sustainability, survivability, profitability and competitive advantages.

Methods & Tools

We connect knowledge and expertise with methods and tools. We are Design Science Researchers, Service System Thinkers and Innovators at the same time.

Artificial Intelligence

Computers are capable of solving complex mathematical relationships involving large sets of variables. A very valuable application of this is system modelling, simulation and optimization.

About

The Business Intelligence & Innovation Hub is an innovation and support organization of the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences. The Hub is elaborated within the Interreg Central Europe Project “4Steps – Towards the application of Industry 4.0 in SMEs (CE1492). It is a tool to support the region of the Federal State of Vorarlberg in the further development of the Smart Specialization Strategy “Intelligent Production”. In the center of the Business Intelligence & Innovation Hub are to boost research, technology and innovation for a sustainable, competitive and profitable regional development (within society, business and industry).
