Excellent performance

For its outstanding quality and performance in student mobility, Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences (FH Vorarlberg) has received the E-Quality-Label on three consecutive occasions. In 2008, 2009 and 2011 the Lifelong Learning Award was awarded to the institution, and in spring 2005 FH Vorarlberg was awarded the ECTS and the Diploma Supplement Label by the European Commission. In 2010 and 2013 the Diploma Supplement Label once again was awarded to the institution, in 2012 once again the ECTS-Label. 2016 and 2017 FH Vorarlberg received the Erasmus+ Award.

Erasmus+ Award 2017

For the excellent quality in organizing student and staff mobility FH Vorarlberg received 2017 the 2nd time in a row the Erasmus+ Award.

Erasmus+ Award 2016

International experiences and intercultural competences are vital qualifications in order to be able to respond successfully in a globalised job market. This is why internationalisation plays such a key role at FH Vorarlberg. For excellent quality in student and staff mobility in the frame of the Erasmus+ programme, FH Vorarlberg received the Erasmus+ award 2016.

Diploma Supplement Label 2013

In 2013 the European Commission awarded the Diploma Supplement Label to universities throughout Europe. Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences (FH Vorarlberg) received the award for the third time. 

The fact that the European Commission awarded the Label to FH Vorarlberg again for its exemplary application of the Diploma Supplement is proof of the fact that FH Vorarlberg places great importance on the implementation of the Bologna process.

ECTS-Label Award Ceremony

At a special ceremony in Copenhagen on 8 May 2012 Prof. (FH) Dr.-Ing. Lars Frormann, Rector of Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences and Karin Wüstner-Dobler, MSc, received the ECTS Label from EU-commissary Androulla Vassiliaou. This label was awarded to Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences (FH Vorarlberg) for its outstanding performance in practising the transfer of learning experiences and for transparency. 

Being awarded the ECTS-Label indicates the proper practice of the ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) to students, partners and other institutions.

FH Vorarlberg is one of only 41 European higher education institutions that have been awarded the ECTS-Label to date, and in Austria itself the FH Vorarlberg is the third institution allowed to hold this award of excellence.

Diploma Supplement Label 2010

The European Commission once again awarded the Diploma Supplement Label in 2010 to Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences.

The Diploma Supplement (DS) accompanies a higher education diploma, providing a standardised description of the nature, level, context, content and status of the studies completed by its holder.

The fact that Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences now has been awarded the Diploma Supplement Label for the second time shows the importance of the Bologna Processs for the university.

Lifelong Learning Award 2009

In 2009, Federal Minister Dr. Claudia Schmied awarded the Lifelong Learning Award to Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences.

On 23 November 2009, Federal Minister Dr. Claudia Schmied awarded the Lifelong Learning Award to representatives of Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences for the second consecutive time. Beforehand, an international jury had decided that the organization of the student mobility at the university was one of the three best activities in the sectoral programme Erasmus in 2009 in Austria.

Lifelong Learning Award 2008

Federal Ministers Dr. Johannes Hahn and Dr. Claudia Schmied awarded the Lifelong Learning Award 2008 to representatives of Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences on 10 December 2008.

The Life Long Learning Award was granted this year for the first time for the best and most innovative project and mobility activities.

From a wide range of applications the international jury nominated the best three projects and mobility activities in each sectoral programme. Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences was praised for its qualitative and high-class implementation of student mobility in the field of Erasmus.

Also the freshly elected Erasmus Ambassador 2008 René Kremser comes from Vorarlberg. René Kremser is a graduate of the Social Work degree programme and fulfilles a life-long dream by spending one semester of his studies in Finland despite his physical disabilities. In Finland, he acquired valuable international experience and intercultural know-how for his profession as a social worker.

E-Quality Label 2007

Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences was awarded the E-Quality Label at the European level in the Federal Ministry of Education, Art and Culture in Vienna on 24 May 2007.

This award was granted for the consistent, high-quality and high-value implementation of student and staff mobility at Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences (FH Vorarlberg).

Institutions of higher education from eight different European countries took part in the Erasmus division, in which FH Vorarlberg was the only Austrian institution of higher education that was awarded the E-Quality Label.

E-Quality Label 2006

The E-Quality label was awarded to Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences in 2006 for the excellent implementation of the Erasmus mobility programme.

This is already the third time in a row that Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences has received the E-Quality Label for the outstanding implementation of the Erasmus programme in the field of student and staff mobility. Besides the E-Quality Label, Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences also holds the ECTS and the Diploma Supplement Label. 

E-Quality Label 2005

Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences was awarded the E-Quality Label 2005 for the high quality in Erasmus student mobility.

ECTS and Diploma Supplement Label 2005

In spring 2005, the European Commission awarded the ECTS and the Diploma Supplement Label to Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences. 

These labels are given to universities which have shown excellence in applying the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) and the Diploma Supplement (DS), two European instruments that make teaching and learning more transparent and facilitate the recognition of studies and qualifications. 

E-Quality Label 2004

On 7 December 2004, the E-Quality Label was awarded to Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences for the excellent performance in the field of the organization of Erasmus student mobility.
