Official signature, advanced electronic signature of the FH Vorarlberg

Publication of the logo official signature (according to § 19 Abs 3 E-Government-Act)

The University of Applied Sciences, FH Vorarlberg GmbH can use the following figurative mark for documents that have been officially signed electronically:

Pursuant to § 19 (2) E-Government-Act, the official signature serves to facilitate the recognition of the origin of a document from an authority.

According to § 20 E-Government-Act, an electronic document printed on paper with an official signature has the evidentiary value of a public document.

The documents officially produced by the University of Applied Sciences, FH Vorarlberg GmbH by electronic means have the official signature according to the following example.

3. Verification of documents

Verification in the sense of § 20 E-Government-Act means confirmation that the submitted document actually originates from the FH Vorarlberg.

The document to be checked must be available in its entirety (all pages), whereby one scan or one copy is sufficient.

For the document to be checked there are basically different ways of transmission possible:

  • By e-mail with scan as attachment to signatur@fhv.at

  • By fax to the general fax number +43 5572 792 9500

  • Postally to FH Vorarlberg, Campus V, Hochschulstraße 1, 6850 Dornbirn with the note "Signaturprüfung".

  • Personal

  • By telephone (according to expediency). A document can also be verified by telephone if the entire content of the document can be communicated by telephone.

The entire document is checked, including whether its content has been changed.

After the check, the following answers are possible:

a)    If the examination produces a positive result, you will be informed of the text "The document you have submitted comes from the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences and is unchanged in content".

b)    In the event of a negative examination, you will be notified of the text "The document submitted by you could not be verified by the FH Vorarlberg".

4. Data protection information

The data of the inquiring persons and institutions will be processed to the extent necessary to carry out the verification. After completion, these data will be deleted. Irrespective of this, we reserve the right to report forged documents. Further information on data protection can be found at www.fhv.at/datenschutz/
