The Conference „uDay XVI - Assistive Technologies in Working Environ- ments“ addresses how digitization, virtualization and real-time processing affect working. Changes in skills are required and are sometimes higher in mental demands than previous sequential work processes. pose major challenges to the world of work, and especially to industrial production. At the same time, the same principles and technologies offer the opportunity of providing workers with all-round support for these new requirements. Science is able and required to identify the possibilites for assistance and develop as well as optimize solutions from a technological and process-ori- ented point of view. uDay XVI is dedicated to the present state-of-reserach and current solutions in the relevant research domains.
If you would like to participate at the uDay XVI, please submit a presentation, poster or exhibition stand as an abstract (1 page - or 500 words) on the following topics related to work environments until January 18th January 2018 on this conference website: ConfTool (please use google translate if necessary as after login the pages are German).

Talks (15 minutes plus 5 minutes discussion) at a specified time-schedule at the conference. Articles will be published in conference proceedings with Pabst Science Publisher. After acceptance there is a two month period to work out the full paper for the reader (until 15.03.2018) with 8 to 12 pages according to the downloadable Template.
Poster will be presented in a 1 minute pitch-presentation at the start of the conference and during the day among interested conference participants. Poster can be written-up as a short paper (4 to 6 pages according to template) for the conference proceedings as well.
Information stands can be installed at the conference (2 x 2 Meter set-up area) and are required to be maintained during the whole conference.
The scientific event is organised by UCT Research, the interdisciplinary research centre for user-centred technologies at the University of Applied Sciences with the partners of the LiTech research project.
Registered participants (visitors, speakers) have access to all talks, exhibition stands and receive the conference proceedings. Furthermore, buffet and beverages are included. Please register until 10th of June 2018 at the latest.
The conference fee is 90 Euros.
