Course content

English classes in the Bachelor Degree International Business are based on the CBI approach (Content Based Instruction) and thus have the following priorities: - Teaching of language and communication skills and professional business content. - The content of this course provides strategies for interacting in discussions in English. - In a first discussion the focus is on the moderation of practical business problems. - In a second discussion the course provides an explanation of a business report in English.


Learning outcomes

Knowledge - Students are able to represent the economic cycle and stakeholders. - Students can describe environmental relationships of a model. Comprehension - Students can outline economic theories with their rationales. Application - Students are able to explain market forms and related rational behaviour of the actors. Analysis - Students are able to analyse a practical case study and reasonably predict the expected behaviour of market participants. - They can estimate significant financial implications


Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Theory-oriented inputs and literature analysis, guided self-reflection, small group and plenary discussions, individual and group exercises, presentations by students, case study.
