Study international

Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences (FH Vorarlberg) is part of an international network and cooperates with 110 partner universities worldwide. More than half of all full-time undergraduate students study for at least one semester abroad. FH Vorarlberg also attracts over 100 exchange students from all over the world who come to study here each year.

This international focus is also evident in the master's degree International Management and Leadership. The master programme offers you in consultation with the programme director a range of options to participate in one of the following exchange programmes (mandatory):

  • a course at a foreign institution as part of contextual studies (Silicon Valley, Dehli, Shanghai) or
  • a summer programme at one of our partner universities or
  • a US–based studies programme in conjunction with JAMK University or
  • studying the 4th semester abroad at one of our partner universities or
  • secondment abroad from your employer (during your studies), at least for 8 weeks accumulated in total or
  • for those students whose mother tongue is not German you may alternatively hand in a detailed reflective essay about your experiences living and / or working in a German speaking environment.

We recognise past international experiences. Should you have had leadership function in non-German-speaking countries for at least three months, you do not need to spend additional time abroad as part of your studies.
