You will make a qualified selection from the following five areas at the start of your degree. You will then study these for the first three semesters and they will help shape your profile from a technical perspective. Two of the five areas of specialisation are offered by the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences research centres.

Alternatively, you can choose your second module from the technical master’s degree programmes in Mechatronics or Energy Technology and Energy Economics at FH Vorarlberg. The options from the specialisations within this master’s degree programme are only available to those with the necessary prior knowledge and the number of places is limited.

The five specialisation modules for the master’s degree in Computer Science

  • Module 1: Internet of Things
  • Module 2: Modelling, Simulation, Optimisation
  • Module 3: User Experience
  • Module 4: Big Data
  • Module 5: Autonomous Systems
