The Electrical Engineering Dual (degree apprenticeship) programme lasts six semesters, including all of the practical work periods. In the first year, you receive basic training in the fundamentals of electrical engineering at Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences (FH Vorarlberg). This includes a balanced mix of lectures, exercises and laboratory work. This period provides you with excellent technical and organisational preparation for the start of the work phase.
After the third semester, you are placed with a partner company and receive a regular income. Depending on the sector, you select two of the three areas of specialisation during the study phases at FH Vorarlberg:
Starting in the third semester, you will apply the knowledge you have acquired in a real-world work setting. This interlinking of theory and the content of the practical phase starting in the third semester is of particular importance.
