The environmental lab encompasses various technical laboratories that all feature state-of-the-art equipment. They offer you an application-oriented learning environment and support you in developing competences alongside classes and as part of environmental projects. Following agreement and instruction, you will have free access to the technical laboratories.
As a student, you have free access to technical laboratories – seven days a week, 24 hours a day!
The Electronics Lab (eLab) is a modernly equipped electronics laboratory, which is used for teaching and research purposes in all engineering study programmes. In the nearby electronic workshop, long-term projects can be worked out and electronic prototypes can be manufactured in an assembly line. Projects in the area of electrical engineering, measurement engineering, signal processing, control engineering and power electronics can be handled.
The activities in the mechanical lab (mLab) involve the areas metrology, production engineering and material testing. One focus is on the manufacturing of complex turned and milled parts. For 5-axes-manufacturing a serial and a parallel-kinematics milling center and also a turning milling center with driven tools are available. The programming of this machines is also part of lab-work as well as reverse engineering by the use of 3D-digitalization.
