Mathematics 2: Ordinary Differential Equations

Course content

This lecture deals with Laplace transform, Fourier transform and z transform:

  • Laplace transform: important characteristics of transform and applications for solving differential equations.
  • Fourier transformation: Fourier series, Fourier transform and their applications.
  • z-transform: the most important characteristics for applying to the solution of differential equations.

Learning outcomes

Students have an in-depth understanding of those areas of Laplace transform, Fourier transform , z - transform and Fourier Series. In particular, this lecture provides a basis for the lectures on automatic control and instrumentation, for analogue as well as digital controls.
