Course content

During the placement students learn about the real work of professional engineers and work on complex tasks and problems in various areas of industry. The students complete one of their two Bachelors thesis assignments as part of the placement. The students describe the task that they worked on during the internship. An important element in the preparation of the thesis is the professional documentation of the solution to the task undertaken. For this reason the documentation is required to be of a scientific standard.

The students will have worked on and resolved a complex problem as a project. The students have prepared their two Bachelors theses, thereby documenting the educational success of the placement and demonstrating that they are able to work on practical problems in an industrial context in an independent, thorough and scientific manner.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Project-related placement in a company or organization. The internship can be completed in a research facility if the student already has practical experience in a technical environment. The students must apply for the relevant placement themselves.
