Before starting your exchange semester at Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences (FH Vorarlberg) you will get the chance to participate in our Welcome Week.
Attending this programme is an excellent opportunity to get to know the other incoming guest students, gain insights into life in Vorarlberg and receive important information related to studies at FH Vorarlberg.
The Welcome Week is compulsory for all incoming guest students and free of charge. Participating students only need to pay for the costs of accommodation and food.
I really loved to meet the other exchange students from 16 different countries during the orientation programme. Thanks to FH Vorarlberg, I had a chance to be friends with them.
Joonsik Lee, Korea
Dear students,
Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences (FH Vorarlberg) is very pleased to welcome you to this orientation programme. We do not only provide teambuilding, intercultural activities and everyday German in context classes, we would also like to show you our "Ländle" and the Lake Constance area.
There are many points of interest in Vorarlberg and the Lake Constance region, but we unfortunately can only show you a few of them in this one week. This guide will give you an overview of how we will be spending this time together. You will find the excursion programme along with some information about the places and regions we will be visiting.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.
The International Office Team wishes you a wonderful stay in Vorarlberg.

The orientation week for me was something very useful because it helped me to know people, to know about them and the places where they belong to and how the life is here. I remember that during this week we went to the farmer's market where we bought some typical food and afterwards we ate it.
