Refugees on the path to an academic degree.

We are pleased that you are interested in the programmes offered by FH Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences!
The Coordination Unit for Prospective Students from Less Represented Groups (Koordinationsstelle für Studieninteressierte aus hochschulfernen Gruppen) is geared towards the academic needs of people with a refugee or migrant background. This offering is an invitation to refugees who are seeking to begin or continue education at FH Vorarlberg and need support for their potential studies.

An admission for selected courses at FH Vorarlberg means:

  • Status as a "non-degree programme" student
  • Participation in the course free of charge
  • Membership of the Austrian National Union of Students (ÖH)
  • Rights and duties of a non-degree programme student
  • Entitlement to a certificate confirming participation upon completion of a course
  • Issuance of a transcript of records ("Zeugnis") if you take an exam. There is no legal obligation for universities to give credit for such courses if you later enrol in a degree programme. However, passing such courses may enhance your chances of being accepted to a relevant degree programme.
