Course content
  • Relevant nursing diagnoses on the circulatory system, personal hygiene, self-care, breathing
  • Transfer of the training content from theory to practice Guided and independent, self-organised learning and exercise of skills and abilities in terms of general and special nursing activities
  • Involvement in medical diagnosis and treatment (recording and monitoring basic medical data such as RR, pulse, breathing, temperature, consciousness, weight, height, excretion, carrying out standardised diagnostic tests such as ECG, EEG, carrying out standardised blood, urine and stool tests)
  • Aspirating the upper respiratory tracts or a tracheostomy
  • First aid (emergency measures, recovering and positioning injured parties, wounds, bleeding, shock, respiratory and cardiac arrest, loss of consciousness, fractures, poisoning, drowning, hyperthermia/freezing, burning/scalding, chemical burns, electrical accidents, heatstroke/sunstroke, head injuries, eye injuries)
  • Principles of basal stimulation

Learning outcomes

Students

  • will be more confident carrying out basic nursing activities 
  • wil be training and reflecting on their own and observed approaches taking into account the feedback rules after training on practical skills and abilities
  • will have fundamental skills so they are able to provide first aid in an emergency
  • will be familiar with the techniques of basal stimulation
