Course content

The Narcotic Substances Act, with the corresponding decrees and the meaning and execution of these legal bases in practice. The key aspects are the sanctions, the alternatives to prison targeting to drug using offenders and their absorption of costs, the district authority functions as well as the legal foundations of medically assisted treatment. There is an introduction to the general provisions of the enforcement law . The different execution modes are illustrated by numerous practical examples .

Learning outcomes

Students have profound knowledge about laws relevant to drug and substance abusers; they are able to transfer that knowledge into practice. Due to the combining with knowledge and skills from other subject areas they are able to give extensive advice and care to drug addicts.The student should have understood the essence of the execution right after attending the course. By visiting a bailiff in the course of practice, reference is made.
