The 4 semester master’s degree programme Social Work is designed to be part-time, as the learning content of the degree and the requirements and tasks of your day-to-day professional social work are closely linked to one another. Students and their specific work situation are the focus of several courses.
The close link between theory and practice is a fundamental part of the whole degree.
The focus is on discourse between lecturers and students. The learning and teaching methods therefore aim to achieve intensive levels of communication between lecturers and students and increased collaboration between the students themselves. During your studies, you will benefit from qualified, international lecturers with strong links to social institutions. This ensures a high level of practical relevance and means you are taught content based on current facts and figures.
Courses which can be planned and projects and options for self-study with flexible time management mean you can successfully combine learning and working. Small, mixed groups not only provide excellent support but also promise high levels of study success. A complex and exciting learning environment awaits you, bringing together students with different levels of professional experience and academic training.
Building on common and general parts of the degree, the area of specialisation you choose at the start of your studies determines the focus. This specialist focus will be part of your entire degree.
