exchange student from Chile about her arrival in Vorarlberg and the Welcome Week.

"I come from a big city in the southeast part of the world, so I thought that coming to Vorarlberg, the cultural differences would be much greater. However, from the moment I arrived, I noticed a city of warm and friendly people who helped me adapt to the city and feel at home even when we don’t speak the same language.

Also, the international office has been a huge support in achieving this, as they have answered every question we have had about school or living in Austria and worked to ensure that international students live like locals, recommending places to go or things to do.

Thanks to the welcome activities, I have had the opportunity to meet many people from many countries. I am always learning something new from another country, and I am always telling something about mine. I think the experience of going on an exchange is like living in a constant tower of Babel, where you never stop learning and making friends. So, I would defenitely recommend living the experience if you have the chance."
