Course content

With the Master's thesis, students should demonstrate not only the success of their professional training but also the ability to independently and comprehensively work on a specialised topic with a certain degree of novelty on a scientific basis in the sense of the student's own work.

Learning outcomes

The Master's thesis is the independent academic final project of the degree programme.

Students must demonstrate the success of their professional training on a scientific basis by independently developing a topic in a subject area relevant to the Master's degree programme in Mechatronics.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Independent work on a scientific basis in consultation with a supervising teacher. Supervision can be largely asynchronous in coordination between students and supervising teachers.

Assessment methods and criteria

The Master's thesis is assessed and evaluated by the supervising teacher at the FHV. The following criteria are decisive:
