Application deadlines

When you can apply to study at FHV

 

If you would like to study at FHV, you should keep an eye on the application deadlines. Here you will find all the important dates and deadlines so that you can register in good time and start your studies as planned.

 

Application start – from 15 November 2025

The general application start date for all degree programmes at FHV is 15 November 2025.

Exception: For the ‘Health and Nursing Upgrade’ degree programme, the application portal is open from 1 September to 30 November 2025.

Application deadline I – until 1 March 2026

Secure your place at university:

  • By applying by March 1st, you will benefit from a faster confirmation of your study place.
  • An early application offers you more planning security and allows you to shape your future today.
  • As soon as we have received your documents in the online portal, the admissions process will begin and you will receive feedback on the next steps.

 

Important information: For applicants from third countries (non-EU or non-EEA, with the exception of Switzerland), the application deadline is 1 March. The reason for this is that it sometimes takes longer to check international documents or that lead times are required for applying for a visa or residence permit. Exception: if you already have a ‘permanent residence - EU’ residence permit, the other application deadlines also apply here. The residence permit must be uploaded to the online application as an addition to the proof of citizenship in order for the application to be considered.

Application deadline II – until 31 May 2026

During the application period until 31st May, you can still apply for all degree programs:

  • All applications submitted by May 31st are guaranteed to take part in the admissions process.
  • If there are more applications than places for your desired degree program, a ranking will be made based on the application documents and the interview.
  • Study programmes for which all places have already been allocated will close the application phase.

 

 

Application deadline II – until 31st August 2026

Your last chance to secure a study place for the 2026/27 academic year:

  • Some degree programmes have a waiting list, or there may still be a few places available.
