Startup Vorarlberg @FHV is the FHV's Startup Centre. As part of the Startup Vorarlberg initiative, we run our own centre directly at the university. We offer students, employees and alumni a wide range of startup-related services.
Those interested in founding a company will find an environment here that encourages creative thinking and supports entrepreneurial behaviour.
Close links with regional and international innovation networks create a dynamic environment for growth and further development. What begins as an idea is brought to life here through dialogue with like-minded people and the support of a community.

As the first point of contact for students, researchers, employees and alumni interested in setting up a business, the FHV Startup Centre has three central tasks:

people interested in founding a company on their way to starting up. Individual coaching sessions, a high-calibre mentor network and specific peer groups and training courses take start-up ideas to the next level.
Startup Vorarlberg @FHV accompanies...
with two programmes that will take your business idea or start-up to the next level. For the four-month pre-incubation programme, all you need is a powerful idea and the will to turn it into a start-up. You will learn everything you need to know – from developing your business model to prototyping, financing, pitching and go-to-market. If you are already actively working on your idea in the market, you are eligible for our 8-month incubation programme, where we will coach you individually and support you and your start-up on your way to success.

Thesis on your start-up idea or at a start-up
Would you like to use your thesis to further develop your own idea? At FHV, you can. Write your thesis on your own start-up idea or in collaboration with a start-up and work on a topic that creates real added value.
Start-up courses
The FHV offers various courses on start-ups and innovation. These are either part of a degree programme or can be chosen as part of the contextual studies in the Master's programme, such as Lean Start-up or Innovation Ecosystem Explorers. They are helpful if you want to develop your own ideas. You can also take the Start-up Vorarlberg Pre-Incubation Programme as an elective in the contextual studies of the Master's programme – and in selected degree programmes, even in the Bachelor's programme.
