International Business Administration - Sustainable Management

As a graduate of the Master's degree in International Business Administration - Sustainable Management with a specialisation in Marketing, Sales & Innovation, you will be fully prepared to develop innovative and sustainable marketing and sales strategies. You will have practical knowledge to open up new markets, successfully market products and services and optimize sales.
Your analytical skills and strategic knowledge enable you to prepare forward-looking decisions based on data using modern analysis tools. Your knowledge will make you an essential of corporate management and enable you to actively shape the future of marketing and sales.

The 120 ECTS credits are distributed as follows over the four semesters, including compulsory modules and the master's thesis.
Contextual Studies: Selection of 1 or 2 modules totaling 6 ETCS.

ECTS: Credit points based on the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). Consistent with international standards, 30 ECTS points can be earned each semester.
Learning content in detail
The programme alternates between attendance at the FHV, e-learning units, self-organised learning, and group and project work. We recommend reducing your professional activity to 50-80%.
Course and examinations take place:
- Generally Fridays from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- The semester is structured into three parts, each lasting five weeks. One or two courses are held in blocks during each of these parts.
- Contextual studies on Thursday evenings or two block weeks per semester
- Admission to the final oral examination:
- all courses in the curriculum must have been successfully completed (examination regulations and grading scale) and
- the Master's thesis must have been graded positively.
- Degree awarded: Master of Arts in Business, MA
- Level of the degree according to the national and European qualifications framework: Master's (2nd cycle)
- Field of study according to ISCED-F code: 0413 - Management and Administration

Access and application
The business-related Master’s programmes at FHV require the following qualifications or competencies:
- a completed relevant FHV Bachelor’s degree programme (International Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or Computer Science – Digital Innovation), or
- a university degree from a domestic or foreign higher education institution according to FHG § 4 (4) with a minimum scope of 180 ECTS credits.
Minimum ECTS From the subject area 30 Business Administration (fundamentals, corporate management, accounting/finance, operations, etc.)
If equivalence according to the table above is fundamentally given and only certain elements are missing for full equivalence, the programme director is authorised to determine equivalence with the condition of supplementary examinations, which must be completed before the start of the Master’s programme.
For admission, proof of language proficiency at level B2 in both German and English (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) is required.
The application deadlines at the FHV are divided as follows:
Application deadline I 15th November - 1st March
By applying by March 1st, you will benefit from a faster confirmation of your study place
Application deadline II until 31st May
You can apply for all degree programmes until 31st May.
Application deadline III until 31st August
Some degree programmes still have a few places available until 31st August.
Important information: The ultimate application deadline for all applications sent from third countries (non EU or non-EEA, with the exception of Switzerland) is 1st March.

The best 20 applications will be offered a study place.
Proven academic achievements that have been completed in master's degree programmes at colleges and universities can be recognized on an individual basis for individual courses or modules. The decision on recognition lies with the pogramme director.
