The part-time Bachelor's programme in International Business Administration offers you the opportunity to build up sound economic knowledge – flexibly alongside your career. You will learn how companies operate worldwide and develop a deep understanding of economic interrelationships that you can apply directly in your everyday working life.
With a degree in International Business Administration, you will lay the foundation for a versatile and future-proof career at the national or international level.
You can complete the programme on a part-time or full-time basis.

The 180 ECTS are divided as follows over the six semesters - including compulsory subjects, compulsory electives, practical work and bachelor's thesis.
Elective courses | In the 4th and 5th semesters, you can choose from a variety of electives to the extent of the respective semester ECTS.
ECTS: Performance points according to the "European Credit Transfer System". According to international standards, 180 ECTS points must be earned over 6 semesters.

Studying alongside work is demanding, but entirely feasible. We recommend reducing your working hours to 80%.
Courses and examinations take place:
- Generally Fridays from 1 PM and Saturdays 8 AM to 5 PM
- Up to 6 days per week possible per semester
Mobility:
- Compulsory study trip (currently to India or South Africa, 2 weeks) in the 3rd or 4th semester
- Short-term stays abroad (e.g. as part of RUN-EU)
- Semester abroad (optional) in the 4th or 5th semester (depending on available study places at partner universities)
- Professional internship abroad possible in the 6th semester
Internship:
- Mandatory professional internship (12 weeks) in the 6th semester
- Credits may be awarded for relevant professional experience
- Admission to the final oral examination:
- all courses in the curriculum must have been successfully completed (examination regulations and grading scale) and
- the Bachelor's thesis must have been graded positively.
- Degree awarded: Bachelor of Arts in Business, BA
- Level of the degree according to the national and European qualifications framework: Bachelor (1st cycle)

Career perspectives
Studying International Business Administration opens up a wide range of career prospects for you – in industry, finance, services, trade, commerce or the public sector. Depending on your specialisation, you will prepare yourself specifically for future-oriented fields such as controlling and financial management, human resource management, marketing and sales, IT management, production and logistics, or training and further education.
In addition, the degree qualifies you for further master's studies at a university of applied sciences or university in Germany or abroad. At FHV, we offer master's programmes in business administration and business informatics. Building on this, it is possible to pursue a doctorate or PhD at a university.

Access and application
The Bachelor’s degree programme International Business Administration requires the following qualifications or competencies:
- a general university entrance qualification, or
- a relevant professional qualification with supplementary examinations.
A relevant professional qualification for this degree programme includes the completion of any apprenticeship or vocational secondary school programme with a training duration of at least three years, or a comparable vocational qualification in terms of scope and level of requirements, provided that the curriculum includes business or commercial training components.
The relevance of the qualification is determined by the programme director. Applicants with a relevant professional qualification must successfully complete the supplementary examinations at FHV.
For admission, proof of language proficiency at level B2 in both German and English (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) is required.
The application deadlines at FHV are as follows:
Application deadline I: 15 November to 1 March
Apply by 1 March and benefit from early admission.
Application deadline II: 31 May
You can apply for all degree programmes by 31 May.
Application deadline III: 31 August
Some degree programmes still have places available until 31 August.
Important information: The application deadline for applicants from third countries (non-EU or non-EEA, with the exception of Switzerland) is 1 March.

Special regulations: As a graduate of a vocational secondary school (HTL, HAK), individual courses may be credited to you individually during your studies. You can obtain details about this in a meeting with the programme director.
