22.06.2026
With a varied program of hands-on activities, the FHV was part of the anniversary celebration.

Key Takeaways

  • The FHV participated in the “125 Years of the City of Dornbirn” anniversary celebration with a diverse programme of hands-on activities.
  • Interactive stations offered exciting insights into academic studies, research, and innovation.
  • As a university with roots in Dornbirn for over 30 years, the FHV was proud to be part of the anniversary celebration.

Numerous dedicated FHV staff members used the city festival as an opportunity to present the university as a place of learning, research, and design—and, above all, as an accessible partner for the people of the region.

At the various stations, visitors could, among other things, try their hand at robotics, experience virtual reality applications, learn about the MammAware research project, and discover international perspectives. The interactive activities encouraged participation and offered numerous opportunities for personal conversations with FHV staff, students, and researchers. University lecturer Natasha Doshi presented the FHV and several exciting student projects from the city festival programme on stage.

Since its founding more than 30 years ago, the FHV has been closely connected to the city of Dornbirn. The FHV is proud to have been part of this special anniversary and to have brought the future of education, research, and innovation to life together with many interested visitors. The numerous encounters and conversations provided an opportunity for direct interaction with the public and demonstrated how deeply rooted the FHV is in the region. We would like to thank the dedicated staff who designed the diverse program featuring interactive stations.
