About 423 graduates celebrate the completion of their studies

16.10.2026
About 423 bachelor’s and master’s degree graduates from FHV celebrated a very special day: they were delighted to receive their degrees. FHV rector Regine Kadgien presented the academic diplomas. Twenty-three graduates were honored with awards for their outstanding achievements.

While approximately 700 first-year students had recently begun their studies at the FHV, 423 bachelor’s and master’s graduates celebrated the completion of their academic training at the graduation ceremony. Over the course of two days, the Kulturhaus Dornbirn was thus entirely dedicated to celebrating successful graduations and awards. In four ceremonies, graduates from more than 20 bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in the departments of Engineering and Technology, Business and Management, Design, and Social Work and Health received their diplomas.

31st graduation ceremony

This year marked the 31st edition of the graduation ceremony. FHV Rector Regine Kadgien emphasized: “With this graduation ceremony, we honor the achievements of our graduates and the dedication with which they have mastered their studies. They are taking with them in-depth specialized knowledge and important future skills: critical thinking, the ability to collaborate, and the willingness to embrace new challenges and continue learning. This will enable them to actively shape change in businesses and in our society. I wish them the courage to take on responsibility, break new ground, and remain curious.” Furthermore, the graduates take with them from their time at the university a strong FHV network that will continue to offer them valuable opportunities for exchange in the future. To date, approximately 8,900 graduates have completed their university studies in Vorarlberg as highly educated professionals.

Award recipients ohnored

In addition to their diplomas, 23 graduates also received an award in recognition of outstanding achievements during their studies, presented by the “Strong Partners” and other FHV partner companies. Harald Sonderegger, President of the State Parliament and Chairman of the FHV’s Supervisory Board, emphasized the importance of high-quality education. He presented the diplomas in the Department of Business and Management: “The FHV trains highly qualified professionals who are in high demand in the local economy. Graduates of the business and management degree programmes combine in-depth knowledge with practical experience and bring new perspectives to companies. As such, they are a valuable asset to the Vorarlberg business and management community and contribute significantly to its successful development.” In addition to Sonderegger, Provincial Councilor Barbara Schöbi-Fink, Provincial Councilor Martina Rüscher, and Harald Moosbrugger, Head of the Department of Science and Continuing Education for the State of Vorarlberg, also congratulated the graduates.

An important contribution to the future

“A degree is the result of a great deal of dedication, perseverance, and personal commitment—and at the same time, the beginning of a new chapter. I hope that the graduates will boldly apply their skills, take on responsibility, and forge their own path. I congratulate them wholeheartedly on this achievement,” emphasized State Councilor Schöbi-Fink. State Councilor Martina Rüscher presented the certificates in Health Care and Nursing as well as Social Work: “High-quality and reliable health and social care requires highly trained and dedicated individuals. With their knowledge, skills, and personal dedication, the graduates are making an important contribution to the future of our health and social care system. I warmly congratulate all graduates on this important milestone and wish them much success and fulfillment in their future careers.”

Strong network

The FHV maintains close ties with companies in Vorarlberg and the surrounding region. This collaboration is evident both in a wide range of research projects and commissions and in joint projects with students—for example, in the form of practice-oriented bachelor’s or master’s theses conducted within a partner company. FHV students establish excellent connections with the Business and Management community even while they are still studying. Experience shows that graduates can choose from many job offers and quickly launch their careers.
