Best of InterMedia Award 2026
19.10.2026The 2026 Best of InterMedia Award brought together students, graduates, and guests at CampusVäre to honor outstanding final projects and exchange ideas on design, content, and concepts. From all the submitted projects, an independent jury of experts selected ten works, which were presented at the event. The highlight of the event was the awards ceremony, during which the three most compelling projects were honored with the InterMediPus award.
First place went to Frederic Brand for his project “Brand Moodboard.” He is developing a hybrid platform for digital inspiration that combines digital and analog elements. The project challenges algorithmic recommendations and explores new possibilities for a more conscious approach to content and authentic exchange.
Second place went to Maria Mayer for the interactive sound installation “Lebenslinien.” She combines personal stories, memories, and audiovisual design to foster intergenerational exchange.
Third place was awarded to Amanda Rechtsteiner for “PHENOMENIC,” an interactive exhibition that allows visitors to experience frequencies through four installations. The project combines scientific, artistic, and spiritual perspectives and opens up experimental approaches to a complex phenomenon. The award-winning works impress with their conceptual strength and design quality. They demonstrate how design can address social issues, open up new perspectives, and encourage engagement with diverse topics.
A heartfelt thank you goes to the expert jury for their expertise and support of the award: Elli Schindler (Executive Director of Designaustria), Sigi Ramoser (Managing Director of Sägenvier DesignKommunikation), Bernhard Hafele (graphic design and communication collective viergestalten), Hanno Schuster (Director of the PRVA), and Margarita Köhl (programme director of Design).
We would also like to thank our partner institutions—CampusVäre – Creative Institute Vorarlberg, Designforum Vorarlberg, and the Advertising and Market Communication Section of the WKO—for their support and for providing a public platform for the students’ work.
