Best Paper Award for FHV graduate

Zeynep Öztürk, a graduate of the Computer Science degree program, received the Best Paper Award at the renowned AACE ELearn conference in Bangkok (Thailand).

 

Her research examines the accessibility of the ILIAS learning platform for people with visual impairments - a topic with high social relevance. Zeynep Öztürk studied Computer Science at the FHV and analyzed the accessibility of ILIAS, a widely used open source learning platform, for visually impaired users in her bachelor's thesis. The results of her work led to the scientific paper "Accessible Learning Platforms: Investigating the Accessibility Standards of ILIAS for Visually Impaired Users", which she presented at the AACE ELearn conference. The conference is considered one of the world's largest and most important in the field of e-learning and digital education. Zeynep Öztürk received the Best Paper Award for her contribution.
