Children's and Youth University: Start of the new semester

Trying out new things, discovering talents and exploring the world - the popular format of the Vorarlberg Children's University was specially developed for children aged eight to 12. In a child-friendly and interactive way, children explore new approaches to a wide range of topics that affect their everyday lives. The popular series of events kicks off on September 24 at the FHV. The first event on the topic of "Diving into virtual worlds" is already fully booked. There are still places available for the second event "Rhythm lurks everywhere" on October 15 at Stella Vorarlberg. An exciting program awaits young people aged 13 to 15 during the autumn vacations. The five workshops range from "Analog meets digital: between brushes & pixels" to "Take off! While all events of the Youth University take place at the FHV, the Vorarlberg Children's University is a joint initiative of the FHV, the Stella Vorarlberg Private University of Music and the Paedagogische Hochschule Vorarlberg. A total of six lectures will take place at these three institutions between September 24, 2025 and January 21, 2026. The program invites children to playfully immerse themselves in a world of knowledge and science. 

Opening of Café

CampusWith the recently opened Café Campus on the first floor of FHV Building C, the university offers a new publicly accessible meeting place for young and old. The operator is Ländle Gastronomie, run by Martin Stöckler's team. The menu presents culinary Asian delicacies as well as small snacks and coffee. Opening hours are Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (kitchen hours are Tuesday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.). There will also be free concerts with "Mike live" on Thursdays from 18:00 to 21:00 until November 27.

Registration for children and youth university

• Registration for the individual lectures is possible on an ongoing basis at www.fhv.at/kinderuni or at www.fhv.at/jugenduni. The first date of the Children's University is already fully booked.
• Each lecture lasts approximately one hour and participation is free of charge.
• The children's university lectures take place in the lecture halls of the FHV, the University of Teacher Education and the Stella Vorarlberg Private University of Music.
• The lectures of the Youth University take place at the FHV.

Free Travel

In cooperation with the Vorarlberg Transport Association, participants of the Children’s and Youth University (and one accompanying person) are entitled to free public transport within Vorarlberg. A prior registration is required.
