FHV honored as a "family-friendly company" for the 6th time

"We are proud that the FHV has been recognized as a family-friendly company for the sixth time. This recognition confirms our continuous commitment to reconciling work and family obligations," says Isabella Maier-Venc, Team Leader Recruiting & Personnel Development. She accepted the seal of approval together with her colleague Freya Rickenbacher from Governor Markus Wallner. A total of 161 companies and institutions from all parts of the province received the coveted certificate. 

Continuous commitment

With this sixth award, the FHV is sending a clear signal that family friendliness is not just a claim, but a lived practice. The university relies on a wide range of measures to improve the compatibility of work, family and private life. These include structured parental leave management with a networking breakfast, support services for family carers and a series of information sessions on topics such as pension provision and insurance.

Premiere of the health week

In addition to this, the FHV held a health week for its employees for the first time last year with a preventative focus on topics such as menopause, breast health, sport, nutrition, etc. A generous flexitime framework and flexible home office options are also on offer. Supporting measures in the area of mobility - such as job bike models or special parking spaces for parents - as well as parent workrooms for emergency situations and psychosocial counseling and coaching services are further examples of the diverse package of measures. They are representative of the continuous expansion of family-friendly structures at the FHV.
