The second session of the certification course for advanced positions in Health Care and Nursing has successfully concluded. Thirteen participants from India, Syria, and the Philippines recently received their certificates at the Lake Constance Continuing Education Center Schloss Hofen.
The recognition course enables internationally trained nursing professionals to have their professional qualifications recognised in Austria. Prerequisites include a bachelor’s degree in Health Care and Nursing from a third country, as well as a recognition notice specifying the academic and practical requirements that still need to be fulfilled. Upon successful completion, graduates are eligible to work in the higher-level service for Health Care and Nursing in Austria. “We are pleased that, for the second time, we have been able to support nursing professionals on their path to receiving recognition for their qualifications through the recognition course. With their degree, graduates gain access to new career opportunities while also making a valuable contribution to healthcare in Vorarlberg,” emphasizes Dr. MMag. Peter Vogler, Director of Schloss Hofen and Head of University Management.
Effectively Combining Theory and Practice
Depending on their specific requirements, the 13 participants completed individualized courses, examinations, and professional practical training. “The spirit in these groups is always very special. The students want to build a life for themselves in Vorarlberg, and their willingness to learn and motivation to successfully complete this programme are very strong. Together, they have mastered the challenges of their studies. I congratulate all the graduates and am delighted that this program, in cooperation with Schloss Hofen, has been so well received. They have now earned full recognition of their bachelor’s degree in Health Care and Nursing, including professional certification for the higher civil service. “Employers can look forward to graduates who are ready to take on responsibility,” explains Dipl.-Päd. Diana Brodda, academic director of the programme, head of the Department of Social Work and Health, and head of the Health Care and Nursing competence area at the FHV.
