Data protection information for competitions

We handle the personal data you provide with great care and observe national and European data protection regulations.

Purposes and legal bases of processing:
The data you provide will be collected for the purpose of conducting a competition. This is done in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR for the performance of a contract. There is no legal or contractual obligation to provide your data. However, if you do not provide your data, participation in the competition is not possible.

Due to the nature of the competition, you may also be separately asked for your consent to receive e-mail communications. If you give us your consent, your data will also be used for sending these e-mail messages. The legal basis for this is your voluntarily granted consent.

Recipients:
In the case of competitions organised jointly with cooperation partners, the data collected may also be transmitted to these partners for the purpose of providing the prize. Only the data necessary to fulfil this purpose will be shared. For personalised online tickets, your first and last name may be passed on to the respective company providing the tickets.

The data for the competition is processed using Microsoft Education A3 365. This system is licensed by Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown Dublin 18, Ireland. Further information about Microsoft 365 can be found at:

Retention period:
The data collected will be stored as long as necessary for the execution of the competition. It will be deleted at the latest after twelve months.

Your data protection rights under the GDPR:
We would like to point out that, within the scope of the legal provisions, you have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict processing and object to the processing of your personal data. Enquiries or requests in this context can be sent to: datenschutz@fhv.at

If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw this consent at any time by sending an email to datenschutz@fhv.at. The legality of the data processing carried out up to the point of withdrawal remains unaffected.

If you believe that your data has been processed unlawfully, please contact us at datenschutz@fhv.at. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority, the competent supervisory authority.
